Job Title: Civil Engineer - Bridge Design

Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Salary: 36,000 - 42,000 per annum

About our client:
A leading civil engineering firm with a strong portfolio of projects, including the Stranraer Marina Expansion Project, the Dumbarton Flood Prevention Scheme, and various bridge assessments and designs.

Role Overview:
They are seeking a talented Civil Engineer with a strong background in bridge design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LUSAS or similar engineering software, and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You will play a key role in our ongoing projects, contributing to the design, assessment, and optimisation of bridge structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design bridge structures for various projects, including wind farms and the A9 Dualling project.
  • Conduct assessments of existing bridge structures and contribute to historical railway estates framework projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Utilise LUSAS or similar FEA software for structural analysis and design calculations.
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in bridge design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in LUSAS or similar FEA software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
