Full Job Description
Location: Multiple (See JD) - 1 Position based in FLS Ae/1 Position based in FLS Newton Stewart (preference) or FLS Straiton, FLS is currently recruiting for 2 positions in the South Region joining our Civil Engineering team, part of FLS Land Management. This role involves working outdoors, engaging with the public, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Key responsibilities include inspecting forest roads and bridges, planning maintenance programs, preparing site plans, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Candidates must have the ability to solve problems both independently and as part of a team, possess good communication skills, and demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload across different demands. Experience in supervising operations on a working site is essential. Additionally, candidates must show a commitment to achieving Technician Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers and be competent in using Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
It is desirable for candidates to have experience in land surveying, including setting out, and working in remote and/or sensitive environments. Experience in extractives work, such as quarrying, drilling, blasting, and crushing, is also beneficial. A full driving UK driving license is required for this role
