Bring us your capability, and we'll help you take it much, much further.What you'll be doing You will aim to minimize project costs and enhance value for money while maintaining high standards and quality for our customers. You are either chartered or in the final stages of professional membership of RICS, ICES, or CIOB, and will be role models for less experienced team members, maintaining your Continuing Professional Development (CPD). You will have the following responsibilities;

  • Maintain effective communication with the commercial team, departmental leads and other associated disciplines.
  • Management of subcontractors including payments preparation, final account work, and inputting into dispute resolution.
  • Dealing with queries promptly to avoid disputes.
  • Monitor cost as part of budget and cost control.
  • Produce monthly cost and value reports, quarterly reports and present to senior management.
  • Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy.
  • Understand and promote usage of Company Procedures and suggest improvements
  • Involvement in change management including input to construction programmes
  • Ensure timely production of appropriate levels of applications for payments
  • Provide commercial advice to the site team, and management on all contractual issues.
  • Attend and provide input to all site commercial meetings.
  • Manage time and workloads for yourself in a structured manner.
  • Assist in delivery of commercial training to all staff.
  • Provide input to risk management of projects and departments.
  • Knowledge of construction procedures and working methods.
  • Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time.

    BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge.
  • CSCS Card (Academically Qualified/Professional Qualified Person).
  • MRCIS/MCInstCES/MCIOB or working towards these qualifications.
