An exciting opportunity for a Class Teacher in our Intensive Support Provision, has arisen at Coupar Angus Primary School.

As a Teacher in our Intensive Support Provision you will be responsible for teaching children and young people who have additional support needs and providing access to the curriculum under the direction of senior managers.

Additional support needs encompass children with complex needs and children who benefit from neuroaffirming practice.

You will be expected to lead by example and develop appropriate approaches to support individual children to feel regulated, motivated and ready to learn.

You will be responsible for developing personal learning plans.

You will be required to direct support staff in their day-to-day work and support of the children.

The Individual

We are looking for a creative teacher with experience of teaching neurodivergent children in a low stimulus environment.

Awareness or understanding of low arousal approaches would be beneficial.

You will be able to evidence your confidence and expertise in developing child-led learning while using a range of assessment approaches to evidence progress in learning across the curriculum.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multi-agency team.

You will be able to provide a high standard of learning for children and young people and be experienced in teaching within a total communication approach.
