Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our small school on a part-time basis as a Class Teacher for session 24/25. The successful candidate will be teaching the Primary 7 class one day per week and 2.5 hours with our Primary 2 class. The P7 day must take place on a Thursday and our current proposal is that the 2.5 hours take place on a Friday morning.

At Yester, we try to create a positive and happy atmosphere in school, maintaining and developing an ethos for learning. The children are always busy and active allowing their individual strengths to be developed. Job Details

To undertake class-teaching duties

Teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and correction.
Develop the school curriculum.
Assess, record and report on the work of pupils.
Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with their administration.
Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils.
Work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
Undertake appropriate and agreed Career Long Professional Development (CLPL).
Participate in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.
Contribute towards good order and the wider needs of the school.
