Full Job Description

The post will involve providing 17.5 Hours per week professional cleaning service on a 52 week basis and paid at Stirling Council Grade 1. Shift times may vary slightly. It is expected that you will be flexible to work 3.5 hours per day between the core hours of 4.30pm and 8.00pm depending on the building you are supporting that day. Generally you will work across several buildings within the space of your week however where we have an absence or vacancy you will be expected to remain in a fixed location for a longer period of time.

Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items, using cleaning machinery including electric buffing machines, scrubber dryers and vacuum cleaners. Be able to clean surfaces to head height and prepared to work alone. Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided.

Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
