Full Job Description

Job Opportunity: Clerk of Works – Montrose

Location: Montrose
Duration: 4 weeks starting 13th January 2025
Working Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–5:30pm (½ hour meal break)
  • Friday: 7:30am–11:30am (extending to 5:30pm when a weekend shift is worked)
  • Weekends (Alternate): Minimum 8-hour shifts

Are you a skilled professional with experience in overseeing construction projects? We’re looking for a Clerk of Works to support a key project in Montrose. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring the successful installation of mini piles and reinforced concrete slabs for the foundation of a collapsed bridge.

Your Responsibilities

  • Verify that mini piling works are carried out in line with the design method statement.
  • Monitor the installation of mini piles and grout input.
  • Check drillers' logs for accuracy.
  • Ensure all works adhere to project quality and design standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • A recognised Clerk of Works qualification is desirable; however, an Engineering degree will also be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Proactive and diligent approach to monitoring works on-site.
