Perth & Kinross Council's Property (Housing) are recruiting a Clerk of Works. The post will form an integral part of the Housing Capital Project & New Build Team.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide a comprehensive Clerk of Works service involving the supervision of construction, refurbishment and conversion projects to improve the quality and quantity of the Council's property assets.

It is envisaged that the post will focus on the completion of new housing developments and the delivery of Capital improvements programmes to refurbish and improve the energy efficiency of the Council's existing housing stock, however Clerk of Works supervision will also form part of the role of the successful applicant.

For purposes of connection and collaboration with colleagues and with the community we serve, our full-time employees work on site for a minimum of 2 days per week with the arrangements for part time employees being agreed on a basis which will ensure that they benefit to an equivalent degree.

The Individual

The successful applicant will:

 - Have previous experience of working on building and refurbishment projects in a housing, construction or property maintenance environment with a track record of successful project delivery. 

 - Have experience of site supervision/quality management with an excellent knowledge of building construction, technology and services. 

 - Be familiar with quality management processes and have experience of working with contract documentation such as drawings, programmes and specifications.

 - Be an excellent communicator and have experience of working with Microsoft IT packages and a sound knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.

 - Have a Building Trades Qualification at a minimum of an ONC/OND level.

You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
