NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.
Applications are welcomed by NHS Tayside for a Fixed Term Clinical Fellow in Cardiology. This post will be for 6 months from February to August.
You will join the established Tayside Cardiology Registrar on call rota including supporting the 24/7 Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) service. The spacious CCU has 9 monitored beds with facilities for x-ray screening and haemodynamic monitoring and dialysis. There is a 30 bedded Cardiology Ward with telemetry beds. There will be opportunities to participate in outpatient clinics both General and sub specialist.
Non-invasive facilities include cardiac imaging: Transthoracic Echocardiography; Transoesophageal Echo; cardiac MRI and a CT Coronary Angiography service is being developed.
The service includes a main cardiac catheter laboratory with second mobile catheter lab for pacing and PCI overflow. There will be an opportunity for exposure to both coronary angiography/ PCI and pacemaker implantation (including complex devices). A Ninewells Electro Physiology service is being developed.
