Clinical Fellowship in Pelvic Floor Surgery
Colorectal Unit Ninewells
Applicants are invited to apply for a Fixed Term Clinical Fellowship position in NHS Tayside within Pelvic Floor Surgery based at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee. This post is due to start February 2025 for a fixed term period of 12 months. Ninewells is a teaching hospital providing a fully comprehensive pelvic floor service for Tayside, Perth & Kinross and North East Fife.
The fellow will work within the Colorectal Unit alongside colorectal consultant-led teams with special interest in pelvic floor dysfunction. Trainees with specialist interest in pelvic floor surgery are selected amongst the senior trainees reaching the end of their training. The post would involve running designated pelvic floor outpatient clinics, theatre operating, and exposure training in endo-anal ultrasonography, ano-rectal manometry in conjunction with active participation within a multidisciplinary pelvic floor team.
The fellow will be expected to contribute to the general surgical on call and actively participate in the care of elective and emergency colorectal and general surgical patient groups.
Applicants with an interest in a career in colorectal surgery with subspecialist interest in pelvic floor will also be exposed to clinic and theatre activity in joint urogynaecology patient group.
