Full Job Description

Sexual Health Fife is looking for a Clinical Support Worker to join our team.  We are looking for a team player who is able to work without direct supervision and who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  You should be non-judgemental, enthusiastic and compassionate and have a keen interest in sexual health nursing. Phlebotomy is an essential element of this post but not a pre-requisite as training can be provided.

Applicants are also required to be flexible and able to travel throughout Fife.  Clinic sessions will include mornings, afternoons and evenings.

If successful in your application, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after taking up post. It is expected that you complete this qualification, which will be funded by NHS Fife. Your Line Manager will provide you with more information once you are in post

For informal enquiries please contact Kirsty Durham, Senior Charge Nurse on .

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.

Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
