Full Job Description
You will work as a team, building long lasting relationships with our children and young people. You will accompany our young people to and from school or college, facilitate family contact, create a warm and comforting environment, have fun and go on days out as well as shopping, cooking, cleaning and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.
Previous experience in Residential Child Care is extremely beneficial, however there are many transferable skills for this role. You need to have a dedicated and resilient approach as well as an extremely caring and nurturing nature.,
- Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people or adults or personal relevant experience and the right values to make a difference
- Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations
- Support daily living tasks, activities, medication and accompanying our young people out in the community
- Full driving licence
- Obtained, or willing to work towards HNC / SVQ 3 in Heath & Social or equivalent If you possess the compassion to help others, the need to make a difference and the resilience to work hard and be a team player then a career at Inspire Scotland could be the next exciting step for you.
