Full Job Description

Anderson Knight is partnering with a prominent organisation in the financial services sector to recruit an experienced Collections Handler. This role is key to supporting customers who have fallen behind on their payments, working with them to find practical repayment solutions while safeguarding the company’s interests.


Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 20:00
  • Weekends: 09:00 - 18:00
  • Shifts are assigned on a rotational basis to ensure full coverage during service hours. Flexibility is essential, and hybrid working arrangements are available following successful completion of a 5-6 week training programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all collection activities in strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of customers in arrears, aiming to achieve positive and timely repayment outcomes, minimising financial losses.
  • Perform inbound and outbound collections calls, accurately updating records after each interaction to maintain case integrity.
  • Consistently meet or exceed performance and collection targets, addressing any obstacles to success proactively.
  • Accurately complete income and expenditure assessments, utilising financial data to recommend realistic repayment options for customers.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and effective communication to secure repayment agreements that align with both the customer’s and company’s objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a collections role is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a positive attitude, transparency, and resilience.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record-keeping and financial assessments.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on effective collections management.
