Full Job Description

Are you skilled in contract management and project delivery? We are seeking a Commercial Contracts Manager to manage key customer relationships, ensure project profitability, and oversee contract performance.

If you have experience in managing contracts, projects, and key accounts in industries that involve project-based work and commercial operations (e.g. engineering, energy, technical services, construction), take a further read and see if this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Commercially manage projects from award to final completion, working with the Project Delivery Manager to meet financial targets.
  • Account Management: Manage customer accounts, resolving SLA issues and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Contract & Financial Control: Track cash flow, costs, and project profitability, ensuring contractual compliance and timely revenue recognition.
  • Customer Relations: Build strong client relationships to secure repeat business and additional work.
  • Budget & Forecasting: Prepare and present financial forecasts, updating senior management on project performance and variances.
  • Issue Management: Handle contract negotiations, changes, and disputes to ensure smooth project execution and payment resolution.
  • Reporting: Conduct monthly reviews on project profitability, providing insights and solutions to optimise future performance.

Skills & Experience:

  • Project & Contract Management: Experience in managing projects and contracts, ensuring financial success.
  • Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of cash flow, cost tracking, and accounting with proficient Excel skills.
  • Customer-Centric: Proven ability to build and manage client relationships and resolve disputes.
  • Analytical & Organised: Strong analytical skills with the ability to report on and track project performance.

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Experience in a project-based or commercial role is preferred.
  • Financial forecasting experience.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • UK driving licence required for travel.
