Full Job Description

  • The Role
  • Develop and understand the commercial terms and administration requirements for the allocated contracts to assist in managing and mitigating risks associated with contract delivery.
  • Provide support to the PSM's and commercial focal points for the client commercial contact and attend client meetings as required.
  • Support the preparation of client monthly reports including but not limited to value of works, forecast of spend, commitments annual budgets, business plans and contract incentive schemes.
  • Support the monitoring of the financial performance of each contract by assisting with preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets and ensure all commercial and financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Develop an understanding of the corporate accounting and commercial department requirements so that ongoing analysis is being made to track recovery against costs to highlight and resolve any associated issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the projects team by providing ongoing and regular commercial analysis and information regarding expenditures, commitments, forecasts and the financial performance of the contract.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of contract KPI's.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the key contractual and commercial aspects of the contracts.
  • Support the commercial teams with the checking and accuracy of Third Party invoices against subcontract agreements and approve same as compliance checker where required.
  • Support any Labour and 3rd party reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the contract commercial model and structure (i.e client charge rates etc).
  • Liaise with the commercial administrators in developing and collating client invoices and ensure they prepared for presentation to the client correctly and in a timely manner such that they are paid on the due date.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of how to monitor outstanding debtors and support the commercial team to ensure that any commercial problems are addressed, and that cash collection is optimised.
  • Perform all tasks and prepare all information in accordance with the company's policies, processes and procedures
  • Qualification Requirements Bachelor's degree or Master's degree relating to Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accountancy, Business, etc.
