Full Job Description

We are pleased to announce that there is an exciting 12-month secondment opportunity now on offer for a Commercial lawyer to provide legal support on a range of matters relating to the Group. This would include dealing with the Group's suppliers, including, outsourcing arrangements, IT services, contentious supplier matters and regulatory requirements for our supply chain, as well as assisting with drafting client facing documentation, dealing with contentious client matters, assisting with product launches, and supporting the business with BAU.

For anyone wishing to broaden their legal skill sets to include any of the following, private client law, trust law, litigation, commercial contracts or white label contracts, this is a role for you.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a great legal team on varied and fast paced matters that are key for helping to deliver both the Groups and L&S's strategy. You will have the change to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will join a team of 2 others and led by the team lead. Each team member will participate fully in new initiatives, product launches, and BAU activities utilizing your legal, commercial and regulatory knowledge., You will:

  • Manage relationships with important internal customers and act as their business partner, while taking guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Conducts research using primary data sources and selects relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends.

  • Takes responsibility for providing particular aspects of the organisation's legal service with guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Uncovers emerging issues and/or needs and identifies potential causes, related issues, key stakeholders and barriers.

  • Recommends ways to improve support for operations by changing policies, processes, standards and practices.

  • Delivers prescribed outcomes for a designated area, using risk management systems to ensure the organisation is not exposed to undue risks.

  • Delivers prescribed outcomes for area of responsibility by improving and/or working within an established supplier management plan.

  • Identifies and evaluates complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs.
