The Water Division's' One MEICA team is currently looking to recruit a Commercial Manager to join us, One MEICA a newly formed business made up from the integration of ID Systems, I&C Process Solutions, PMP Utilities and Z-Tech Control Systems, creating a MEICA business offering, with UK Coverage. This role is predominately based in the South with regular travel to Cambridge, but will require UK travel based on business need. There will be hybrid working available.

As our next Commercial Manager, you'll be leading a team of commercial resources responsible for all commercial functions required to support successful delivery of our contract requirements and internal performance targets. The role will initially be focused on supporting and guiding the existing commercial team to develop and implement processes and procedures to deliver targeted improvements set out by the Commercial Director. Your remit will be to work with a team of commercial and operational teams, reporting to the Area Director with dotted line reporting into the Commercial Director.

To excel in this role, you'll need to be decisive and influential. Working with a team of Commercial Managers, you'll be responsible for ensuring all Morrison and Client processes are followed to minimise WIP and keep WIP within the contract and business target. Your day-to-day activities will include attending Monthly Commercial Meetings both internally and with the client, providing input into cash flow and aged debt reporting, and supporting in pricing ad-hoc pieces of work.

You're not interested in being unable to communicate. This role isn't for someone who isn't driven to get results. In this role, you will be able to make business decisions and you will be given the chance to support the Workstream Commercial Team.

As a Commercial Manager, you are decisive and influential, and you would thrive on enabling the growth of the Water Division. Your remit would be to support the Senior Commercial Manager with any Contract Changes including identifying key data points and providing assurance on the accuracy of the same. This role is instrumental in driving the commercial success of our contracts.

  • Effective communication, negotiation and Presentation skills

  • Detailed knowledge, understanding and previous experience of high value NEC contracts.

  • Knowledge of work activities undertaken (Administrative and Operational).

  • An understanding of all relevant statutory, regulatory and company policies and guidelines.

  • The ability and desire to identify opportunities for improvement, and influence change.

  • Knowledge of service delivery within the utilities sector.

  • Excellent people management skills.

  • Client focus - build sound relationships with other senior leaders in partnership.

  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CIOB) - beneficial

  • Relevant Hons Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
