Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join our Eastern Hemisphere team in Dyce, Aberdeen. In this role you will manage proposals and queue, create complex models, and review and negotiated contracts.

As a member of the Commercial team, the Commercial Manager is expected to identify and implement actions in support of the strategic goals, leading their team's interfaces with Sales to proactively develop account and/or product strategies that are customer focused, and meet internal group risk and profit profiles which lead to increased sales and margin backlog. Understanding the business goals of the various product lines and work with the Sales Team to deliver on those business goals.,

  • Develop and implement standard documents and templates for proposals, marketing materials, websites, and vendor qualification packages.

  • Periodic review of standard documents and updating as necessary to ensure that they meet the current needs of Commercial, Sales, and Operations. Proposal Structure and Development

  • Develop and write proposal targeted to the opportunity, customer drivers, and sales strategy

  • Manage proposal volume within their queue, with appropriate management techniques, to meet internal and external deadlines

  • Review proposal request information (RFQs, bid docs, etc.), determines internal support requirements, holds/attends proposal kickoff meeting (as needed), and manages interfaces with internal resources as required to deliver the complete proposal

  • Gather technical data and assembles data into well-written, sophisticated proposals Contract Negotiation and Closing

  • Understand more commercial risks (payment terms, margins, delivery, credit risk, warranty, title transfer, cash flow, performance guarantees)

  • Understand highly complex commercial risks (international transaction taxes, termination true-ups, labor implications, etc.)

  • Understand basic contractual risks (LOL, CDW, indemnities, confidentiality)

  • Perform initial contract review to ensure that it is consistent with EE contracting policies (CPP, DOA, TLOA, Compliance, Finance, etc.)

    Demonstrates willingness to make decisions

  • Proficient computer skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Excellent organization skills; able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Functional knowledge of product mix within assigned commercial product team

  • Broad financial skills, including financial analysis; Full understanding of cost and margin on products and services.

  • Technical knowledge of EE Products & Services; ability to reflect this into valuable proposals to customers.

  • Ability to identify and document innovative value-added solutions and payment structures.

  • Knowledge of complex deal-structuring concepts.

  • Functional knowledge of product mix with other Commercial product teams., Previous experience with RFL's, contract negotiation, review and closing required.

  • Technical Knowledge of EthosEnergy products lines & services advantageous., Relevant degree in Business Management advantageous, however not essential
