Full Job Description

Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, the role is primarily responsible for the support of tendering and customer account management throughout the UK business. The role will support the UK Finance Manager in determining adjustment of contract pricing we charge our customers through logic-based reasoning and statistical analysis. Management of pricing models making recommendations for rate changes and will be responsible for setting the rates which create competitive prices for our clients. Duties include:

  • Ability to understand and challenge current pricing models, support build and develop the creation of improved cost and pricing models for ASCO UK.


  • Identify project or transactional opportunities for efficiencies and proactively seek value adding solutions.


  • Work with Commercial, Finance and Ops teams to help build robust cost and pricing models to support UK and other tendering/Commercial activities


  • Work closely with Finance teams to share understanding of statements of contract/customer profitability across the wider Commercial team identifying areas where changes need to be made


  • Create visibility of metrics reporting and performance management of customer contracts through Power BI, this will include revenue tracking, profitability split by service line


  • Support Commercial, Finance and Account Managers with routine contract auditing of all main customer contracts and invoicing to avoid occurrences of over or under-charging


  • Support and deliver Commercial, Finance and Ops projects as required by the business. This will include detailed interpretation of customer contracts understanding associated costs and revenue aligned with each service line


  • Ability to interpret and apply detailed understanding of contract elements


  • Driving internal improvement and control initiatives through the business, ensuring processes and systems comply with relevant policies and requirements.

    Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numerical skills, and an excellent attention to detail.


  • Strong personality willing to drive change and challenge the status quo.


  • Ability to contribute to several multidiscipline teams/workgroups and effectively control concurrent work stream projects


  • Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and Power BI


  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing.


  • Ability to work standalone while a positive contributor to the wider team.


  • Desire to see individual and team performance improve and develop through provision of support and insight


  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Either a proven track record in a similar role or working towards a career in a similar function


  • Proven track record of progression and willingness and ability to progress further
