Full Job Description
Our client is a renowned distributor of sports ground maintenance machinery; they supply product, spares and maintenance contracts. Our client provides Grass Care and Ground Care equipment to Golf Courses, Parks and Trusts, Private Estates, Schools and Sports Fields as well as for this role Contract Sales to Councils and Contractors. Due to an expanding customer base, they now have the need for a Sales role for the Central Belt of Scotland.
The Role:
The role will involve developing both new and existing contract for Commercial Supply of Equipment and services to Local Authorities, County Councils, Groundwork Contractors, Ground-care Contractors and Landscaping Contractors. Their other core business is selling to clients from Golf Courses, Parks, Outdoor Trusts, Private Estates, Schools, and Sports Fields, dealing through a variety of decision makers you will provide the face and first point of contact for our client's contract customers. This is a capital equipment contract sales sale role as well as providing clients with an on-going service and maintenance capability provision. The product range will include a variety of machines (such as Turf Cutters, Seeders, Aerators, Tractors, Mowers and Golf Buggies). Our client has a large product portfolio including some of the world's best-known brands. They have a total commitment to customer service and to the development of business relationships based upon trust and credibility.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have a commercial sales background, Truck, vehicle, agricultural, FLT or Plant Hire. Applicants with Ground care, Grass care or Horticulture background or selling to Councils and Contractors and be adept at dealing with customers face to face or over the phone to arrange appointments to arrange contract supply. Applicants should have good knowledge of commercial sales and be willing to sell capital equipment supply contracts to a variety of different industries, in the past our client has been very successful with applicants who have had some experience in selling to similar customers, applicants selling equipment to the same customers or services to the same customers. Applicants from and automotive background, Plant Hire, FLT, Commercial Contract Supply Services, or who have sold agricultural or off-road equipment would also be of great interest. Applicants may have no present knowledge of our client's range of products but must be willing to show a
keen interest to learn and understand the product range and its advantages over competition. An ability to converse easily with colleagues and customers alike is essential.
