Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is M-F 0830-1630.

An opportunity has arisen with West of Scotland Rehabilitation & Mobility Centre (WestMARC) for a Commodity Officer, within our Yoker Depot. WestMARC provides a range of rehabilitation technology services for the West of Scotland, covering 6 health boards delivered by clinical teams to wheelchair and seating patients and prosthetics patients.

The postholder will work with a small purchasing team managing the aspects of purchasing and allocation of stock with a turn over value of approximately £7 million per annum.

The post holder should have experience of working in a purchasing environment with a minimum qualification of SVQ level 3 in supply chain activity. Similar qualification and experience will be considered.

The shift hours are Monday Friday 08:30 to 16:30, based within the WestMARC, Yoker Depot
