Full Job Description

As part of our continued growth, we now have an exciting new opportunity for a passionate and creative Communications and Community Engagement Officer to join Story Scotland, part of Story Contracting Ltd.

This role is based from our Blantyre office and you will be part of a UK-wide Communications and Engagement (C&E) team who strive for excellence in everything they do.

This role requires strong collaboration with internal teams, clients, and important external stakeholders. Within the role, key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of social value commitments for Story's clients in Scotland.

  • Collating and reporting all social value and community engagement activity into multiple systems and trackers.

  • Creating engaging communications content to promote Story's engineering projects.

  • Supporting clients with stakeholder engagement events within the community.

  • Working with the C&E and People team to deliver early engagement initiatives with education providers to feed into Story's early careers pipeline.

  • Creating effective internal and external comms campaigns.

  • Writing case studies for projects and social value initiatives.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • A proactive and creative mindset with strong organisational skills.

  • The ability to quickly build relationships with operational teams, clients, partners and communities.

  • Experience in a similar role, ready to contribute to the team and region's success.
