Full Job Description

The Communities Officer will provide support and advocacy for communities, based on their specific needs, maximising their potential for growth in a shared and inclusive manner, and to act as a representative for the Association.

1. Level six qualification (e.g. Bachelor's Degree, Graduate diploma) or above in a relevant discipline and 2 years' experience working in community development. OR 5 years' recent experience working in community development. 2. Experience in monitoring, managing and reporting on budgets in accordance with policies, procedures and external funding requirements. 3. Experience of supporting communities to deliver community plans and/or events. 4. Demonstrable proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint. 5. Demonstrable knowledge of best practice in community development and empowerment. 6. A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport
