Enable Communities.
We enable people to build and grow supportive local friendships and networks, where everyone is included.
We campaign for change. We speak up when things are not good enough and we demonstrate ways to make things better.
Your job within the Enable Communities team will be to establish facilitate our local Community Group in Edinburgh.
Our Community Groups support adults with learning disabilities to get more active and involved in their local community spaces and provide a boost to individual wellbeing for Enable members.
Our Community Groups involve supporting Enable members to meet up outdoors in community spaces and walk together every week. During periods of bad weather our groups may meet at indoor community spaces.
You will recruit members to and deliver a Community Group every week for Enable members in Edinburgh.
You will also support the wider team in the delivery of Enable's membership events throughout the year, such as our Self-Advocacy Forum, conferences and annual general meeting.
You will also support the monitoring of our Enable Communities e-mail inbox and respond to enquiries.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in working with people with learning disabilities to actively grow their friendship networks and improve their fitness and wellbeing.
About You
