We are currently recruiting a full-time Community Development Officer to join our Communities Team, based in Glasgow, on a fixed term contract.The post-holder will predominantly support the New Scots Core Group Advisers and their involvement in supporting the implementation of the New Scots Strategy. The group aims to represent and advocate for cross-section of the New Scots communities. As New Scots Core Group members they have a role in monitoring the progress of the New Scots Delivery Plan.Specifically, this role will focus on our approach to community learning and development. As a consequence, the role will directly contribute to two of our core strategic objectives:Nothing about refugees without refugeesOur expertise informs good policy, practice and adviceWe are looking for a person with either a qualification in community development or equivalent experience; preferably with experience of working with refugees.As this is a fixed term project you will need to make an immediate contribution to the design and development of the community learning and development approach.
