Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Community Planning and Development team in Argyll and Bute. The post holder will be part of a Community Development team and will contribute with a particular focus on supporting communities in Bute and Cowal, offering community capacity building support, advice on funding, developing and delivering training, supporting community engagement corporately, supporting community voice in community planning, partnership working and providing information and resources to support communities to develop action plans.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual with good knowledge of legislation and good practice in Community Learning and Development, good communication skills and ability to work as part of a supportive team across Argyll and Bute. You should have a relevant degree or qualification in Community Development or equivalent.

The post is 21 hours per week on a hybrid basis with an office base and will involve travel at times across Argyll and Bute and working in a range of locations within communities.

Responsibilities

  • The salary shown is the full time equivalent salary, the actual salary will be paid pro rata for the hours worked.
  • The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013, as amended, applies to this post.
  • This post requires Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Membership in relation to working with both adults and children.
