Full Job Description

Plan and deliver progressive, developmental, fun, safe and high-quality football sessions sessions in our partner schools including lunch clubs, after school clubs and SFA programmes.

Complete all administration and evaluation tasks relating to school delivery including: managing registers; completing risk assessments; communicating effectively with participants and school leads and conducting evaluation as required.

Support the planning and delivery of the Foundations' community coaching programmes for children offering progressive, developmental, fun, safe and high-quality football sessions specifically for young people.

Complete all administration and evaluation tasks relating to commercial coaching programmes including: managing registers and payments; communicating effectively with customers and participants and conducting evaluation as required.

Manage the Foundations' commercial football Birthday Party Packages including timetabling, organising party gifts, communicating with customers and liaising with the Foundations' hospitality department to book facilities and provide party food. Deliver Birthday parties where required.

Assist with the promotion of the Foundation's community football programmes and Birthday parties through providing relevant social media material when requested.

Mentor and support sessional coaches and volunteers providing quality feedback on coach/volunteer performance and deliver in-house continued professional development sessions for sessional staff and volunteers.

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all colleagues, partners, customers and participants.

Complete personal reports and attend 1:1, team meetings and inter-team meetings as required.

Attend and complete continued professional development opportunities.

Help across the organisation as required.

  • More than 1 year of experience delivering high quality, engaging football coaching to children and young people.

  • Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.

  • Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive coaching environment for all.

  • Experience of working in community coaching/commercial football coaching environments (desirable).

  • Experience of working with and in schools (desirable).

  • Experience of supporting and managing others (desirable)., Scottish FA Children's Coaching Award (Level 1.3).

  • Scottish FA Children's Coaching Licence (desirable).

  • Full driving license (desirable).

  • First aid qualification (desirable).

    Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (the post will involve unsocial hours, the successful candidate must have a willingness to work flexibly including evenings and weekends).
