Help transform lives like M and J.

Our Community Support Service, which operates across the city, provides support to adults with learning disabilities and associated health issues and/or physical disabilities to participate in a wide range of activities. We provide a day service that is building based 5 days a week as well as community support on a 1:1 basis for social activities and practical tasks.

We also provide short break support for individuals to enjoy time away with friends in various locations in Britain. You will also have the opportunity to support individuals on two, three- or four- nights short breaks.

This post is peripatetic across the city-wide and services operate on a day, evening and weekend basis. The ability to undertake shift work, including sleepovers, and to travel is essential and the use of a car for work purposes would be advantageous.

Hi, I am M, I enjoy going out in the local community doing things I want to do, meeting my friends. Sometimes i will stay in and get some support with housework. Two days a week I go to the day centre, we have a good programme of activities that we do, and sometimes we go out bowling or attend a dance class.

Hi, I am Jill, I use the short break service. I enjoy going especially if my friends are going on the same trip. This is something i have done for some time and look forward to the next one.
