Position

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Community Learning Disability Staff Nurse at Rothesay House, Cumnock.

What you will do:

You will promote and maintain the health of clients, carers and families on an individual or group basis within community settings.

Provide clinical advice within the speciality of learning disability to individuals, other health professionals, community organisations and families.

Provide specialist health interventions for people with Learning Disability with complex needs and the delivery of support/education to the individuals and their families/carers.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You must have a RNLD qualification with appropriate knowledge of learning disability nursing, the health needs of people with a learning disability and a good understanding of community working.

It is essential that you hace good interpersonal skills with evidence of continuous professional development. Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the current policy context affecting the development of person centred learning disability services and the role of nursing in a changing clinical environment.

Experience of working in a community team or similar setting is desirable.

Hours:

37 per week

Driving Licence:

UK Car licence is essential to this role.
