Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. 

This is a part-time role of 21.8 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 3 days over 7.

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours. 

A BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics, HCPC registration and drivers license is essential.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly community dietetic team in the South Clyde quadrant of NHS GG&C, covering the specialist area of Mental Health. The successful candidate will join another mental health dietitian based at Dykebar Hospital. This post predominantly covers the Renfrewshire area, however supports and delivers care within Inverclyde as and when required.  The post holder will assess, develop and review complex nutritional care plans for mental health patients in a variety of settings, including, clinics, domiciliary and in-patients at Dykebar Hospital.  The post holder will deliver highly specialized clinical care to vulnerable patients, including those with eating disorders, schizophrenia, bi-polar, addictions and anxiety disorders. There will be the opportunity to join specialist CE groups and work with the wider network of mental health and community Dietitians within our service, contributing to service improvement and development. You will also work closely with the Mental Health Multidisciplinary team. Our service has adopted the blended working policy, allowing greater flexibility for team members to work effectively from home and base.
