Full Job Description

Do you want to do something that really makes a difference? Are you looking for an interesting and people-centred role?

Headway Ayrshire, based in Ayr, is a registered Scottish Charity with a vast experience of working in the field of acquired brain injury throughout Ayrshire and we have an exciting opportunity for the right person.

We currently have an opening for a Community Outreach Support Officer, who will play a critical role in providing information, support, and advice, visit clients at home and facilitate Outreach Clinics and Community Rehabilitation Groups. The successful applicant will also be required to contribute to the promotion of the Charity’s awareness raising and prevention campaigns across Ayrshire.

An understanding and knowledge of brain/head injury would be desirable, however, a comprehensive induction programme and in-house training plan will be put in place to ensure that the successful candidate will be fully equipped with the right skills to undertake the role. Please refer to the job description for details of the role and responsibilities.

Could you be the right person to join our proactive and dynamic team? A qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. Experience of working with people with complex needs is desirable, and you must hold a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. A basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages is essential.

The hours of the post will be 27 per week and the successful candidate will be required to be PVG Checked. Excess mileage expenses paid.

If you are interested in joining a vibrant Charity and really making your working days count, please e-mail Jocelyn Gough, Finance Administrator at the email address provided for a job information pack.
