We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance & Support Manager to join the DM Hall team. Due to the upcoming retirement of a valued team member, there is an exciting opportunity to step into this well-established position. In this critical role, you will oversee quality assurance, health and safety, and regulatory compliance processes across the organisation, ensuring we meet and exceed industry standards. You will be the driving force behind our commitment to operational excellence, helping to identify and mitigate risks while promoting a culture of quality and safety.


Main Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will span quality assurance, health & safety and wider organisational compliance. Responsibilities will include:


Quality Assurance

  • Acting as custodian of the firm’s QA Manual, you will be responsible for ensuring the existing manual remains up to date and accurate, under periodic review
  • You will act as direct liaison with the firm’s QA Auditors providing support in the preparation, oversight and organisation around the firm’s bi-annual external QA Audit. Act as a liaison at all levels with the firms branch network of 26 offices across Scotland and England
  • Design, manage and carry out the programme of Internal Audit, to support the Firm’s ISO Accreditation, involving information recording including branch audits, protocol audits, valuation process checks and maintenance of training records
  • Act as liaison with, and reporting to, Senior Management in respect of all of the above
  • Implement and check any audit outcomes around non-compliance
  • Periodically visit the firm’s offices/departments to liaise with personnel on QA and H&S matters, as necessary

Health & Safety

  • Manage relationships with 3rd party outsource providers
  • Make recommendations to Senior Management and thereafter, liaise with all staff around office procedures and H&S training
  • Record and manage H&S training plans and provisions across the country
  • Preparation of risk assessments for vulnerable staff
  • Oversight and organisation of PAT testing and fixed wire checks of electrical systems
  • Oversight and management of processes around alarm systems at office premises of the firm

Wider Compliance

  • Contribute to collating and preparing all required information for Due Diligence Reviews and Compliance Reviews requested annually by major PLC organisations the firm deals with
  • Provide management and oversight of all policy documentation held by the firm, involving liaison with other departmental heads e.g. Finance, IT and HR
  • Attendance at and input to quarterly meetings of all of the key central departments
  • Supporting the Firm’s ESG programme and related compliance

Additional Information:

This is an office based role in Edinburgh with a degree of travel required. A driver’s licence would be beneficial for this position.
