Join us as a Consolidation Analyst

  • This is an opportunity to become an expert on the monthly consolidation and reporting process and recommend and implement improvements
  • Utilising your astute attention to detail, you’ll be helping to produce monthly consolidated statutory income statements and balance sheets
  • You’ll be working with a dedicated and collaborative team that has a strong track record of delivery

What you'll do

As a Consolidation Analyst, you’ll be carrying out key activities to complete the consolidated monthly results of the bank. This will include preparing and posting journals, querying and understanding data submissions from stakeholders, and preparing commentary and analysis to demonstrate an understanding of the outputs.

As well as this, you’ll be:

  • Reconciling and reviewing the key outputs from the monthly consolidation and analysis and explaining the consolidated results
  • Managing changes in the financial reporting requirements and delivering effective process improvements
  • Assisting the Consolidation Team Manager with continuous improvement, operational and data quality initiatives
  • An effective ambassador for the Consolidation team when dealing with key stakeholders

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for qualified accountant or someone working towards this qualification. You’ll bring knowledge of statutory reporting requirements, particularly consolidation accounting and principles, along with a track record of meeting tight deadlines and delivering high quality work.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of how data is used within a financial organisation, both operationally and for reporting and analysis
  • The ability to understand the key drivers and issues behind the reported outputs
  • The ability to identify, build and enhance key relationships, influencing and challenging as needed
  • A proactive approach to continuously improving tasks and procedures
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues
