Post: consultant ANAESTHETIST 1 Post

Base: Queen elizabeth university hospital

Applications are invited for three consultant Anaesthetists to join our team at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, part of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The posts will attract 8 Direct Clinical Care Programmed Activities (PAs)including On-call, and 2 PA for Supporting Professional Activities. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to maintain, deliver and develop their range of anaesthetic skills. This will include elective and emergency work within general theatres (including Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, Vascular, ENT, Renal Access and Transplant, Urology and Emergency Surgery) in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Gartnavel General Hospital and the Victoria Hospital.

The Theatre and Anaesthetic Service in the South Acute Sector of Greater Glasgow and Clyde has a complement of more than 80 Anaesthetic Consultants.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a licence to practise and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview.  Non-UK trained applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
