Applicants must have full GDC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.  

Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time and part time posts based in Laurieston Building.

This Consultant post(s) offers an opportunity for candidates to apply for either full time or part time hours within the service. The appointee(s) will be an integral member(s) of the Restorative Dentistry team based at EDI.  They will work very closely with orthodontic colleagues in the EDI as part of the hypodontia and cleft care pathways.  In managing patients requiring restorative rehabilitation due to H&N cancer, they will work in collaboration with the existing Restorative consultant colleagues and the OMFS team based at St. Johns Hospital (SJH) Livingston and the Western General Hospital. In addition, they will work with the Special Care Dentistry Team within the Public Dental Service to deliver holistic treatment for patients with H&N cancer.

The post-holders will be integral members of the Restorative Dentistry team and be expected to work closely with colleagues to deliver excellence in teaching, research and clinical care.

Applicants will be expected to provide clinical leadership and specialist restorative treatment within the focus area of the role advertised as part of a multidisciplinary team.
