Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.  

Applications are welcome for the above Permanent, full time (40 hours per week) post based in Lauriston Building.

This 10 PA Consultant post offers an opportunity for the appointee to contribute to and lead aspects of the Orthodontics service within the NHS Lothian Oral Health Service. This post is based at the Edinburgh Dental Institute which is the focus for Consultant-led Orthodontics for the South-East of Scotland. The post holder will be responsible to Mr Graeme Wright, Clinical Director of the Oral Health Service.

The appointee will be involved in multidisciplinary working with other specialty arms of the Oral Health Service, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and with close liaison with medical and primary care colleagues when required.

Please note that the post holder may be required to work across NHS Lothian at sites within the remit of the Oral Health Service
