Full Job Description

University Hospital Wishaw (UHW) is looking to appoint two Consultant Physicians in Acute & General Medicine to join its existing team.

The department has a dedicated medical ambulatory care area, alongside a medical assessment ward and medical high dependency unit.

The Acute Physicians are well supported by the specialty Physicians in the Physician of the week model. Excellent support is also provided by nursing and medical colleagues in the Emergency Department.

The successful applicants will participate in the acute rota which is variable and flexible depending on the commitments of the team, and will also participate in the Physician of the Week/Day and weekend on-call rotas.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals who are keen to contribute to the ongoing development of services. Sub-specialty clinical interests are welcome and will be supported.
