Content Creator & Editor

As Content Creator & Editor, you will be responsible for establishing, curating, creating, and editing content for our brand new peer-led harm-reduction focussed magazine., SDF is facilitating the exciting development of a peer-led, harm reduction-focused magazine created by and for people who use drugs. Our mission is to amplify the voices, experiences, and stories of individuals within this community, challenge stigma, and provide valuable, practical information about harm reduction, health, and policy changes. We believe in the power of storytelling to create change, and we're looking for a dynamic journalist or storyteller to join our team and help us craft meaningful, impactful content.

As Content Creator & Editor, you will be responsible for establishing, curating, creating, and editing content for our brand new peer-led magazine. This role is perfect for someone with a journalism or storytelling background who is passionate about harm reduction, social justice, and giving a voice to marginalised communities. You will work closely with our newly established peer editorial team, contributors, and community members to ensure the magazine reflects diverse perspectives and authentic experiences.

SDF as an organisation mainly work from home. It is envisaged this post will have some in person work and will require travel throughout Scotland and an ability to attend work in our head office based in Glasgow as required. Candidates should be willing and able to work effectively from home.

Salary: £40,937 - £44,699
This position is full-time (based on 35 hours per week) initially for 1 year
