Full Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Structural Technician with proficiency in Revit software to join our team for an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality structural drawings and models, collaborating with engineers and architects, and ensuring that all project requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed structural models and drawings using Revit software, adhering to project specifications and standards.
Collaborate closely with structural engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure the integration of structural systems with overall project designs.
Interpret and convert structural engineering designs into technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and detail.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth workflow and communication across the project.
Prepare and revise drawings, plans, and schedules as required by the project team.
Perform clash detection and model reviews to identify any potential issues or discrepancies in the design.
Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, codes, and industry standards.
Maintain project documentation and track changes as projects progress.
Provide technical support and expertise during the construction phase when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Structural Technician with a strong portfolio of projects.
Proficient in Revit software for creating detailed structural models and drawings.
Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and building design.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or other related software is a plus.
Strong understanding of UK building regulations and structural standards (or applicable local regulations).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
Experience in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
