Full Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Structural Technician with proficiency in Revit software to join our team for an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality structural drawings and models, collaborating with engineers and architects, and ensuring that all project requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed structural models and drawings using Revit software, adhering to project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate closely with structural engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure the integration of structural systems with overall project designs.
- Interpret and convert structural engineering designs into technical drawings, ensuring accuracy and detail.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth workflow and communication across the project.
- Prepare and revise drawings, plans, and schedules as required by the project team.
- Perform clash detection and model reviews to identify any potential issues or discrepancies in the design.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- Maintain project documentation and track changes as projects progress.
- Provide technical support and expertise during the construction phase when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Structural Technician with a strong portfolio of projects.
- Proficient in Revit software for creating detailed structural models and drawings.
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles and building design.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or other related software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and structural standards (or applicable local regulations).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
- Experience in commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
