As we continue our journey, we’re seeking a confident and self-assured team member to enhance our Contracts & Finance Team within the Business and Digital division. 

As a Contract Support Officer, you will report to the Contracts & Finance Manager and work closely with our Supplier & Contracts Managers, you will identify and implement opportunities to deliver savings and best practice across a range of contract and finance activities. 

You will have experience of supplier management, procurement and contracts management and deliver a continuous improvement approach in the development of e-procurement tools. A key area of development will be the utilisation of purchase to pay system interfaces to increase the efficiency of the ordering and payment process. 

An HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline is essential as is experience in contract and service management. You will provide professional support throughout the procurement and contract management process, forging robust partnerships, delivering crystal-clear updates, and engaging with governance boards through regular reporting. Your communication skills, both verbal and written, will be exceptional, complemented by proficiency in MS Office suite. 

Working within the Contracts & Finance Team for North Lanarkshire Council you will have the flexibility of our hybrid work model, blending homeworking with time spent at our Civic Centre and Civic Square offices in Motherwell.
