Full Job Description
FinTech RS are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Contracts Engineer based in Westhill, Aberdeen on a Permanent, Full Time basis.
Main duties include:
- Prepare and collate budget proposals and tenders, including associated subcontractor and supplier proposals (where applicable) in accordance with our internal management systems
- Prepare detailed and accurate tender price estimates
- Maintain up to date and comprehensive clarification registers for tenders and work with the Technical Sales Manager to ensure a suitable and achievable technical solution is provided
- Prepare commercial and collate contractual & technical deliverables for inclusion in client tender submissions (i.e. commercial, contractual, and technical qualifications) with support from other departments where required
- Draft and/or negotiate Call Offs to previously established contracts
- Maintain commercial databases such as CRM
- Lead the handover process between Commercial and Operations of all relevant commercial and contractual documents including a detailed review of the tender risk register
- Provide ongoing support to the operations team in relation to the commercial issues that arise on project and working with the Project Manager to identify efficiencies to increase the margin
- Ensure the accuracy of project invoicing on a monthly basis
- Work with Supply Chain to ensure supplier management and strategic partnerships are being evaluated on a regular basis
Suitable candidates should have the following:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Experience of operating in global jurisdictions (Desirable)
- Educated to Degree level, preferably with business related degree (Desirable)
- Sound numerical and analytical skills
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Highly numerate, able to manipulate and develop excel spreadsheets
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative and work as part of a team
- Ability to effectively manage own workload and work under pressure within given timescales
- Pro-active and forward-looking approach
- Commitment to provide excellent client relations
- Ability to multitask and problem solve with a “can do” attitude and a focus on delivery
