Job Role: Contract Manager

Location: Work throughout Scotland and North of England

Job Type: Full time, permanent

Role Overview:

As the Contract Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the future trajectory of the company. This executive role demands strong leadership and strategic vision across all facets of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including local councils, construction contractors, and private sector entities.
  • Serve as the primary contact, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Enhance client relationships to drive sustained growth.
  1. Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base within targeted sectors.
  • Proactively seek and capitalise on commercial opportunities to increase revenue and market share.
  1. Negotiation and Pricing:
  • Lead client negotiations, presenting compelling pricing and service proposals.
  • Ensure pricing strategies align with company objectives and market conditions.
  1. Invoicing:
  • Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring timely generation and follow-up on invoices.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt financial transactions.
  1. Resource Management:
  • Monitor daily operations, including the allocation of plant, materials, and manpower.
  • Coordinate and schedule new hires based on resource availability and project timelines to meet client demands and optimise operational efficiency.
  1. Market Insight:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a degree or HND in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience in managing civil engineering projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring seamless execution and optimal resource allocation.
  • A systematic approach to task execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen, demonstrating a strategic approach to project operations for successful financial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills.
  • Availability to be on call as required to meet business needs.
