About the Opportunity:

We are currently working on behalf of a prestigious Scottish construction company that is looking to hire an experienced and talented Contracts Manager. The Role:

As the Contracts Manager, you will be joining a business with a strong track record of successful project delivery. This role will see you taking the lead on multiple projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. You will be a key player in maintaining the company’s excellent reputation by ensuring client satisfaction and fostering strong relationships across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all projects are set up effectively to be delivered on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.
  • Collaborating closely with site managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Upholding all health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Mentoring and managing site teams, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, ideally with a focus on high-end fit-out and/or refurbishment.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the construction industry.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field are highly desirable.
