Full Job Description
They will manage various systems and processes from a central control room, often without direct supervision. They will communicate with departments, managers and peers to ensure smooth operations and provide clear and concise reports on systems and incidents. They will monitor and respond to system alarms and initiate responses where appropriate and ensure the security and safety of all staff, patients and visitors, through monitoring PMTS, CCTV and Perimeter Detection systems. They will be responsible for ensuring all vehicle movement within the Hospital is controlled and monitored through appropriate systems. They will, when required work in the reception area and carry out reception duties, including, driving, searching, booking in and other related tasks.
Experience Previous experience within a customer-focused or security environment is essential, as well as knowledge of Microsoft packages including word and outlook. Applicants must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills, effective communication and a level of literacy and comprehension, as well as good attention to detail. Applicant will have the ability to work on their own initiative and prioritise their workload. Full clean driving license is essential.

- Rostered Contract Duration Permanent Post Details The post holder will be required to work a rostered shift pattern including day, evening, nightshift, weekends and public holidays., Please note we anticipate a high level of interest in this position therefore we may close the vacancy prior to the closing date once a sufficient amount of applications are received. Starting from 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will be reduced from 37. 5 to 37 hours, and part-time staff will get a pro-rata reduction in their working hours without losing any earnings. Although the State Hospital will implement this change, it may not be possible to transition fully from 1 April. Therefore, there may be some areas in the organisation where implementation may take longer. If the department cannot safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37. 5 hours per week (pro rata for part-time staff) until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety.
