Full Job Description

  • Responsible for the preparation of wholesome meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents, ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals that meet residents' dietary requirements and preferences, including customising meals for specific needs like allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure portion control, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and manage kitchen stock and equipment.
  • Effective communication with residents and staff is essential for feedback and service improvement.
  • Maintaining records of meal plans, temperature checks, and dietary preferences, as well as contributing to special events.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and attend mandatory training.
  • Experience in a similar role, knowledge of elderly dietary needs, and certification in Food Safety and Hygiene are preferred.
  • Physical stamina for standing and lifting is required.
