Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Cook at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do :

You will be based in the Main Kitchen at University Hospital Crosshouse providing in excess of 2000 patient prepared and cooked meals every day, including therapeutic diets to patients, as well as meal services for staff and visitors.

In addition we cater and provide hospitality for meetings and functions.

Your duties include the preparation, cookie and service of meals including any preparation of therapeutic diets when required.

Knowledge, training and / or experience required to do the job :

City and Guilds 706 / 1 and 706 / 2 or an S / NVQ qualification.

An elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.

Various shifts four days over seven

A degree of flexibility is essential, applicants who wish to be considered, must be available to cover shifts within the department between the hours of 0630 and 1830 including weekends., Some of our vacancies are for internal candidates only .
