Full Job Description

Facility Support Services

Cook (Social Work Fort Street)

17.50 hours per week

£26,082 - £27,961 (Pro Rata)

Based at Fort Street, Children’s Home, you will be responsible for all catering activities within the unit including menu planning, cooking and baking skills, stock control, maintaining budgetary targets, administration, supervision and training of staff.

You will possess a City & Guilds 7061/2 or a recognised equivalent qualification and have moderate relevant experience. You should have previous supervisory, administration and function work experience as well as experience of ordering and controlling stock. You should also have good craft skills as well as good communication, numeric and organisational skills.

An enthusiastic team player you will have a flexible and positive approach to your work with the ability to work well under pressure.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme (PVG) member prior to starting this post.

Work Pattern (17.5 hours per week)

Week 1: Monday 9.30am to 2pm and Tuesday & Wednesday 10.30am to 5.30pm

Week 2: Monday 1pm to 5.30pm and Thursday & Friday 10.30am to 5.30pm
