25 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 14:00, Term Time
Permanent
£28,652 - £28,864 pro rata / £14.85 - £14.96 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
Applications are invited from motivated individuals to undertake duties as cook, working with the cook supervisor you will be assisting with the provision of the school meal service at St Andrews Primary School.
Duties include preparation, cooking and service of food, supervision of staff, menu planning, ordering of provisions, ensuring all aspects of service provision complies with food safety and completion of associated records, cash handling and liaising with school staff, parents, and pupils.
You must hold an Elementary Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent, and a food preparation qualification such as NVQ level 2, C+G 706/1 +706/2.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirement of the Service.
This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
