Full Job Description
- Working under and supporting the CSR Manager.
- Take a leading role in the company ethics and maintaining ethical due diligence on site and throughout the supply chain.
- Communicating with suppliers in the entirety of the supply chain to monitor any risk and to ensure proper procedures and processes are in place and being followed.
- Working cross departmentally to ensure compliance in several areas and implement change where necessary.
- Horizon scanning and producing reports/briefing notes summarizing issues for senior management.
- Building and maintaining relationships with outside agencies and associations to collaborate and share all collated information and best practice.
- Project manage and take responsibility for areas of focus for the business within the 4 main business pillars: carbon reduction measures, ethical areas, raw materials and waste.
- Questioning the status quo and not afraid to challenge current practices. Successful candidates will receive full training and mentoring, with the aim of candidates to be given additional responsibility as time goes on. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.00am-5.00pm, with the role initially being based in the office full time with the opportunity for flexible working later down the line.
Thistle Seafoods has an unique opportunity to add to our growing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team within our Uddingston site. The ideal candidate will be looking to get into the food and drink industry and have a degree in food science, aquatic science, environment and/or sustainability. Above all else it is essential the right candidate has a passion for responsible business practices and driven to get involved in a vast range of areas.
