Corporate Tax Accountant

In this role you will focus on Corporate Tax Compliance for a large FTSE100 group and undertake a wide range of advisory services across the business. The role is split 50/50 between Corporate Tax Compliance & Accounting and advisory work such as M&A and other support.

We are looking for someone who is either a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or holding a CA or ACCA membership and who has lots of experience gained in a leading consulting firm or an in-house taxation team.

The role will include:

• Assisting with corporate tax compliance for the Group through corporate tax accounting and reporting.
• Advising the wider Finance Teams and business across tax related issues and using your advisory skills to partner the business.
• Assisting in the implementation of tax technology solutions and process improvement to streamline and improve tax compliance.
• Supporting on a range of tax advisory projects and M&A transactions, this group never stands still and you will be used to supporting ad-hoc requirements.

The person:

• You will be a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or have an alternative accounting qualification such as a licence from ICAS, ICAEW or the ACCA.
• Extensive professional experience in a leading accounting firm or as an in-house tax specialist, primarily on direct tax areas such as a Corporate Tax.
• Experience of using AlphaTax or OneSource for corporate tax compliance and accounting.
• You will have had experience of providing advice to a business to be more tax efficient and to have a commercial benefit.
